Phase 1 – 3 days of Induction Training
New employees complete a 3-day programme of training, meeting the requirements of the care certificate before they commence work. (Induction mandatory standards)
Phase 2: 12-week Probationary Programme
The programme continues for 12 weeks following the week of classroom/remote-based training.
During this period, new workers complete several service-specific assignments through the use of a care – certificate workbook with a fortnightly 121 support and review with a trainer.
The 12-week probationary programme period also includes:
- Completion of all mandatory training
- Direct observations
- Regular contact with line manager
- Recorded feedback from service users and colleagues
All our new care workers shadow experienced staff before they go out to work alone, and all of our care workers receive ongoing training as required throughout their careers. At the end of the probationary programme, supervision is held with the Registered Manager to assess competence. At this point, completion of the probationary period will be confirmed, and then a full care certificate is signed off upon successful completion of all elements.

Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care – Level 2 and 3
This qualification aims to develop some of the knowledge required and key details of the role a social care worker performs, including safeguarding, communication, equality, diversity, and inclusion among others.
The Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care – Level 2 is a course that is designed to provide Learners who are interested in working in the Adult Social Care sector or those learners who seek to know more about this sector. It will give learners adequate knowledge and understanding of the care sector and some of the roles in it.
The Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care – Level 3 is a course that is designed to provide Learners who are thinking of or are just starting a career in Adult Social Care. It will give Learners adequate supporting knowledge and understanding of the health care sector, as well as their role within to aim of this qualification, is to develop some of the knowledge required and key details of the role a social care worker performs, including safeguarding, communication, equality, diversity and inclusion among others.
Taking this course learners will have to consider making use of progression into further courses that give in-depth knowledge of the care sector.

It is achieved through a portfolio of evidence which will consist of observations, discussions, questioning, witness statements, reflective learning journals, and other forms of evidence.

The Level 5 Diploma in Care Leadership and Management is a requirement by Care Quality Commission (CQC) for any individual who is looking to assume a Registered Manager position. We offer this program to those who are currently employed as a:

What Learners will learn?
Learners must accrue 90 credits to achieve the Level 5 Diploma in Adult Care Learners, a minimum of 66 of these credits must be at/above Level 5.
Learners must take the 6 Shared Core Mandatory Units, 5 Mandatory Adults’ Advanced Practice Pathway Units (51 credits), and the remaining 39 credits from Option units, which are decided by one of 5 optional pathways, as follows:
- Adults’ Residential Management pathway
